Rating: 3.75 5

Dookudu Movie Review
INTRO:
Prince Mahesh babu’s Dookudu finally on screen under high expectations as his earlier flicks Khaleja, Athidhi din’t perform well at box-office. This time Prince teamed up with most successful combination Srinu Vytla, Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat. Let us how far Dookudu met with expectations.
IN AND OUT:
Dookudu movie opens in times of year 80 with narrating life of Shankar Narayana(Prakash Raj), a local leader with huge mass following. Shankar Narayana is Demi-God to people of Shankar Nagar in Hyderabad. On journey to attend a function in one of his followers place, Shankar Narayana meets with an accident and dies along with his followers. He is survived with a lovable family and son Ajay (Mahesh babu).
In current time Ajay (Mahesh babu) an IPS officer is on a mission to catch Mafia Don (Sonu Sood) and gets suspended by being a victim to tactics played by opponents.
During this mission Ajay come to know real conspiracy behind accident of his father and wants to take revenge on it.
On the other side Shankar Narayana gets hospitalized and taken care by his son Ajay, though people of Shankar Nagar think he is no more.
Dookudu is an action packed movie filled with humorous episodes in narration. You can find satires on reality shows and wannabe actors.
ON SCREEN:
Samantha plays love interest of Mahesh babu and her character is limited, she looks OK. Energetic performance and comedy timing
Dookudu Movie Review
by Mahesh babu steals the show with his Telangana Accent. Prakash Raj as usual versatile and mesmerizes audience with his performance as a lovable father and good human being. Brahmanandam as Padma Sree runs the show again, like in earlier Srinu Vaitla flicks. MS Narayana, Shiva Reddy, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Shiyaji Shinde, Tanikella Bharani, Chandra Mohan and all others did justice to their roles.
OFF SCREEN:
Director Srinu Vytla ran the show with gripping screen play and perfect comedy by lead actors wherever required. Story given by Gopinath is apt for an actor like Mahesh babu. Dialogues by Kona Venkat are superb and have comedy timing. Samantha’s makeup should have been better. Background score by SS Thaman is an asset, songs are average. Production values and quality of the movie are high.
FINAL TOUCH:
Dookudu is a feast for Prince Mahesh babu fans. First half of the movie is interesting and makes you to think, is it going to be a block buster? It is the dragging and dramatic second half, which turns show down. But enough entertainment quotients are injected. Length of movie should have been trimmed; it is 2:50 min.
